Just realised i haven't posted in a little over week.. Oops! :-/
I have just had 9 days off work and it has been sooo nice, back a day early actually but i won't go on about that!! lol That's probably one reason why i haven't blogged much, because i usually write all the drafts while i'm at work then add pics another time & hey presto.. a blog in seconds! :D - will get back to it now though, got lots to say! lol
I am
at work right now so can't blog about the things i want to as i can't
transfer the photo's from my camera using works computer etc - so i've just
had to steal a few pics from my facebook!
At work we take it in turns (or at least we used to!) to bring some biscuits for the tim in the staff room. I get fed up of the same boring old rich tea's & digestives all the time so i like to do a spot of baking every now & again, here's are some the my home-made goodies... :)
The mini pink buns above were just regular victoria sponge with strawberry icing and edible glittery sprinkles

This home-made battenburg was going to be my pride and joy - untill the pink food colouring disappeared during cooking! You can see that there's a slight difference in colour, 2 of the squares sections have a yellow'y tint and the other 2 just look like plain sponge, the cake mixture was bright pink before it went in the oven.. didn't come out that way though :-( - still tasted absolutely yummy!! :)

This one here was just a random picture i took at work one night, hadn't done any baking that day so instead i bought a cupcake from asda.. needn't have bothered - the frosting was sooo sickly, couldn't work out what flavour it was supposed to be! ..and the sponge was a little dry too! Looks cute but i think i'll stick to making my own in future!
